Wild Souls is an Auckland-based wedding photography and videography team founded by husband-and-wife duo Hayley and Scott. Hayley discovered her love of wedding photography in 2014, starting out as a second shooter before building Wild Souls alongside Scott into the business it is today. Scott trained as a videographer at film school, graduating in 2013, and brings photography, videography, and drone work together to tell each couple’s unique story. Their goal is to turn fleeting moments into beautiful, everlasting memories through creative storytelling.
Wild Souls covers weddings across New Zealand, from Auckland venues and Northland cliff-top locations through to Queenstown, Wanaka, and beyond. Alongside weddings, they specialise in elopement photography and videography, helping couples plan intimate ceremonies from start to finish, including locations, permits, and timelines. Elopement packages can include a photographer, celebrant, bridal bouquet and boutonniere, hair and makeup, and transport, with optional add-ons such as videography and helicopter landings available.
For larger weddings, Wild Souls draws on a wider network of experienced second shooters who run their own wedding businesses, ensuring the same standard of coverage throughout. Hayley leads on photography while Scott handles videography, drone footage, and photography, meaning couples can book one team for both photo and video. Wild Souls describe their approach as fun, relaxed, and focused on capturing authentic moments between people.
