Sky View Photography is operated by Andrew, an award-winning drone photography and videography company based in Pukekohe, covering the Greater Auckland region. Established in 2015, Sky View offers high-impact aerial photography solutions for construction firms, marketing agencies, agricultural, architectural, and marine industries, tourism providers, and commercial real estate management. The company has won multiple prestigious awards including the APAC New Zealand Business Award for Best Aerial Photography & Videography Company 2018, and Drone Operator of the Year at the APAC Business Awards 2020.
Andrew is a licensed and active airline pilot with over 4,500 hours of experience, originally coming from a background in large-scale aerial photography having flown fixed wing survey aircraft and high-end Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Professional Photography, with several of his DSLR and drone shot landscapes published in books, front pages of newspapers, and featured on national television. Sky View’s award-winning crew are uniquely qualified with extensive commercial aviation experience, hold CAA appointed instructional and examining roles, and have sat on executive committees within the UAV industry.
What sets Sky View Photography apart is their ability to fly drones where others cannot. The crew holds full CAA NZ Commercial Pilot Licences and can legally fly drones nearby airports and heliports where others cannot, operating in controlled airspace areas of Manukau City, Waitakere City, and the North Shore. They provide 48 megapixel still photographs, 4K ultra-high-definition stabilized fly-over videos, and vertical georeferenced maps from state-of-the-art quadcopter platforms including the DJI Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Enterprise. Their flying cameras can be precisely positioned from ground level up to 120 meters elevation, producing stunning captures that showcase scale, landscape context, and unique perspectives comparable to full-sized helicopters.
